Ingredients

• 500g Baba’s Murukku Flour
• 1 ½ cups of water
• 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
• 1 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
• Oil for deep frying

Instructions

1. Prepare the Murukku Dough
   In a mixing bowl, combine Baba’s Murukku Flour, cumin seeds, and salt. Mix these dry ingredients well.
   
2. Add Water Gradually
   Gradually add water to the flour mixture. It’s important to add water slowly to ensure the right consistency. The dough should be firm yet pliable.
   
3. Knead the Dough
   Knead the dough until it’s smooth and all the ingredients are well combined. The dough should not be too sticky or too dry. Adjust with more flour or water if needed.
   
4. Prepare the Murukku Maker
   You’ll need a murukku maker, which is a special tool for shaping the dough. Make sure it’s clean and ready for use.
5. Load the Dough
   Take a portion of the dough and load it into the murukku maker. Ensure it’s packed evenly and without air gaps.
6. Shape the Murukku
   Heat the oil in a deep frying pan. When the oil is hot, press the murukku maker over the hot oil, using a circular motion to form the traditional murukku shape. You can also make it in small spiral shapes if you prefer.
   
7. Fry the Murukku
