Econsave story begin with a small grocery store name Rong Long sundry shop operated by Lai family in Klang. This family business allow Lai's four brothers learn retail skill from their parent and they seek to study business oversea.

During the study at Australia, Lai's four brother always go to local
supermarket. They like the supermarket concept and they plan to bring this idea and apply on their family sundry shop.

On 08/10/1993, our first outlet - Econsave Kapar opened in Jalan Mokhtar 4, Pekan Kapar, Selangor.

We has been awarded Anugerah Kedai Harga Patut (AKHP) Pertama since the first time been introduced by KPDNHEP.

On 14/16/2013, our first Sarawak outlet - Econsave Miri opened in MYY Mall, Lutong, Miri.

On 26/07/2014, our 50th outlet Econsave Klebang opened at Chemor, Perak.

On 11/07/2015, our first Sabah outlet - Econsave Lahad Datu opened in Darvel Bay Plaza, Sabah.
